SIA "ALA LIGNEA"

The company ALA Lignea was founded on March 15, 2005. It began its operations by exporting sawn timber to the United Kingdom and Sweden. All sawn timber was purchased from Latvian sawmills. In 2007, the company started active production at its own facility, “Lemburgas sawmill,” located in Sidgunda, Mālpils municipality. Currently, the company employs over 60 workers.

Up to 35,000 m³ of softwood sawn timber is produced and processed annually. The majority of this timber is impregnated with TANALITH E wood preservative under controlled conditions using vacuum-pressure impregnation equipment. ALA Lignea supports sustainable forestry policies and has obtained FSC® (FSC-CO16285) and PEFC (PEFC/12-31-035) chain of custody certifications.
